A tribute to all the farm animals and their produce!
Back in china, I was so in tuned to be living in such close proximity to farm animals that i think it really changed the way i look at food. Now, when i go to a supermarket or a wet market, i would think back to the days i spent in china and it gives me this reverence for that animal since i knew how exactly it died. Hopefully after looking at these, you’ll know what i mean

This is what a 5 day old calf looks like! Makes you ponder how it manages to fit into the mother’s womb

Children from an early age learn much about the relationship between animals and humans. This in my opinion allows them to treat food with respect and know the sacrifice made for a meal.
Every chinese household will kill a pig or goat at the start of winter to feed the family and also to preserve the meat by smoking and salting. The meat can then last for up to a year depending on how fast the family consumes.
